  17.  What is HTMASC?

  20.  HTMASC is designed to perform a relatively straightforward task: 
  21.  
  22.  HTMASC converts *.htm files to *.txt. This means that all of the 
  23.  HTML tags (e.g.<TITLE>, <HEADER> ...) are removed and entities 
  24.  (" © ....) are converted.
  25.  
  26.  After loading a file the original text can be viewed in the upper 
  27.  window. That's only for reference, no editing, copying, searching 
  28.  etc. is possible.

  30.  Now you can either select <Convert> from the File Menu or press 
  31.  the <!> button on the toolbar. The file will be converted 
  32.  (hopefully <g>) and should show up in the bottom window.

  34.  The converted file is automatically saved to disk in the directory
  35.  specified under OPTIONS/MORE/OUTPUT DIRECTORY. If there already exists
  36.  a file with the same name you will be warned by the program.
  37.  If the Same Directory Option is activated the converted file is placed
  38.  in the directory of the currently open HTM - File.

  40.  The converted text can be fully edited using the mouse or 
  41.  standard CUA keystrokes.
  42.  You can search for text, cut, copy, paste, undo, redo ...

  44.  Clicking the right mouse button in the bottom window opens a 
  45.  Popup Menu for quick access to most edit commands.
